sg-1: A Waltz Through Empty Beds by tripoli8 (Jack/Daniel, R)

A cold war AU with incredible parallels to Daniel’s ascension and “Abyss.” This was posted as part of WIP Amnesty but it really does stand on its own.

Sometimes he wondered if the ear he’d lost was listening to the brother he’d lost talking back. Lovely sequel to End of the Line. Post-DH.

sga: Scars by Speranza (McKay/Sheppard, NC-17)

The power of this story is the magnitude of what’s not said and the unexplained, but impossibly heavy, weight of the past. Written for sga_flashfic’s Scars challenge.

Scars

sga: Somewhere Else, Not Here by 2ndary_author (McKay/Sheppard, PG-13)

Summary: It’s This is Your Life, right here next to the Lucky Charms. A unique take on the doppelganger challenge for sga_flashfic. For a split second, John’s anyone he wants to be. Mostly.

Somewhere Else, Not Here

sga: Triptych by mad_maudlin (John, Rodney, various, gen)

Summary: “They actually created this universe the moment they activated the time-travel device, and so their actions in the past were always part of our timeline. If they had tried to return to this present, they’d have run into their own doubles who never traveled back, and, well, that would be terribly awkward, wouldn’t it?” This story is amazing in the way it builds off SG-1’s “Moebius” and creates a hauntingly believable trickle down effect to the SGA team. Written for the sga_flashfic doppelganger challenge.

sga: The Blackness of the Space From Which We Came by callmerizzo (John, gen)

John’s sharpest memory of his childhood is of going to the local library in Falls Church, Virginia. He was nine years old. Written for sga_flashfic’s Backstory challenge. A lovely little piece about John childhood and what it means to be free.

sga: Atlas of the Far Side of the Moon by 2ndary_author (Rodney, gen)

Rodney never suffered from the delusion that any of it was actually about him; his parents generally took little notice of him or Jeannie, and even less when they were busy sniping at each other. In fact, their punishment of choice was sending him to an upstairs closet, out of the way, and telling him to think about why he was there. A melancholy take about the days when Rodney was a boy. Sweet, though, too.  For the sga_flashfic Backstory challenge.
