Summary: When Dean disappears on a hunt, the last thing Sam expects is the help of another psychic in trying to find him. The search doesn’t go well, and when Dean walks back into his life, it’s with news that tears the world out from under them both.

The summary sounds melodramatic but it barely scratches the surface of the angst that runs through most of this story. I don’t want to give too much away because the twists and turns are worth discovering for yourself but, rest assured, it’s one hell of an inventive and engaging ride.

Res Gestae

Written for apocalypse_kree and the prompt, “Earth is destroyed and the rest of SG-1 is dead. Jack is angry at Cam for letting the rest of SG-1 go, but they only have each other now. They’re sort of each other’s link back to the rest of the team. Jack is having a difficult time of it.”

This story…I’m speechless. I love how surreallis wrote Cameron and Jack and how present SG-1 was and how the raw emotion was on the surface of this story from start to finish. Amazing.

Bend Low Towards The Dirt

I don’t know where this kink for girl!Sam came from but, fortunately, I’m not the only one. There’s just something wicked and hot about exploring the idea that Dean’s always had a sister, Sam (in a very different way that gender swap stories can also push the right buttons).

Hot Child in the City

Summary: Sam and Dean investigate a very strange drought in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. It seems like an easy job, except for the part where the mysterious lack of rain might be caused by an angry Mayan god looking for a blood sacrifice. There’s also Dean’s little problem, which he’s trying hard to keep to himself while Sam’s trying hard to help. They’re both frustrated and scared, and everything’s balanced on the edge of a knife – quite literally. Featuring: Knifeplay, masochism (not sadism or BDSM), bloodplay, cutting for sexual pleasure, self-harm, hurt/comfort, orgasm denial, dirty talk, plot, incest, graphic m/m sex, mild series spoilers.

Gorgeous story. It hits on Dean’s need in just the right way.

Summary: When Ben turns thirteen and learns that Dean Winchester is his father, he runs away to join his father (and uncle). A tale where boys are boys, Vikings are Vikings, unicorns go to Candy Mountains, Dean and Sam are in big gay love, and Ben becomes a Winchester.

Summary: “Do you ever see ghosts, Rodney?” Written for sga_flashfic’s “Supernatural” challenge, this story is terribly haunting.

In Heaven and Earth

Summary: “Leo stops as he realizes that Matt is no longer listening, turning to catch a moment of intimacy he should not, could not, be seeing, but which pulls a grin from his lips.” I’m a huge Matt/Josh fan but it’s still difficult for me to buy the idea that they’d get involved in the middle of a presidential campaign. This is a lovely, tender story that, thankfully, allows me to suspend disbelief.
